FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When do social outings take place?

Our social outings run regularly from Thursday through to Sunday, with additional adventures scheduled throughout the week for special events, seasonal activities, and unique opportunities. We’re always adding new options, so there’s plenty to choose from.

Who is eligible to join the social outings?

Anyone supported by Travel Buddy Adventures can join our social outings. Once you’re set up with our team, you’re free to book into any adventures that suit your interests, goals, and availability.

Where do I meet?

Meeting locations vary depending on the adventure. All details are provided within each activity, and a full activity plan is shared beforehand, including pick-up or meeting location information so you know exactly what to expect.

What is the difference between out of pocket and NDIS costs?

Out of pocket costs relate to the adventure itself - such as tickets, meals, or entry fees - which are not covered by NDIS funding.

NDIS funding is used for the support provided by our team during the outing. These supports are billed after the service and can be processed through you or your plan manager.

Can I cancel and be refunded if I am no longer able to attend?

We understand that things can change. If you’re unable to attend an adventure, our cancellation policy will apply. You’ll find full details at the time of booking, so you can plan with confidence.

What types of social outings do you offer?

We offer a wide range of adventures including day trips, dining out, beach days, events, movies, and unique experiences based on participant interests.

Our outings are designed to be fun, social, and aligned with building confidence and independence.

What should I bring to a social outing?

This will depend on the adventure. Generally, we recommend bringing personal items such as money for out of pocket costs, comfortable clothing, and anything you may need for the day.

A full activity plan is always provided beforehand so you know exactly what to bring.

Will I be in a group or can I attend individually?

Our social outings are typically group-based to encourage connection, confidence, and social engagement.

If you’d prefer additional support, you can also use your 1:1 supports to join a group outing. This is a great way to trial a group setting, build confidence, and gradually integrate into social environments at your own pace.

Our team is always here to support you in finding the approach that feels most comfortable and enjoyable.
