Booking Guide
Booking Guide
A simple walk through of our new website, from finding an outing you like to having your spot booked. No tech skills needed.
What is in this guide
What you need before you book
To keep our adventures safe and well supported, only approved guests can book online. That means you need an approved account and a login before you can book anything.
You can still browse the whole website without logging in. You can look at every upcoming adventure, read what is included and check the dates. You just need to be logged in when it comes time to book.
Getting your account set up
This part is only for people who are new to Travel Buddy Adventures.
The START HERE button sits at the top right of every page.
Logging in
There is no password to remember. Our website logs you in using a code sent to your email.
Finding your way around the menu
The black bar across the top of every page is your main menu. Here is what each part does.
The main menu. On a phone it is tucked behind the three lines icon at the top left.
| Menu item | What you will find |
|---|---|
| SERVICES | Hover or tap to open a list of everything we offer: Social Outings, Life Skills Programs, 1:1 Support, Overnight Stays and Kids Group. |
| WHAT'S ON | This is the important one. Every upcoming adventure across all our services, in date order. |
| Our Community | Photos and stories from our guests and our community. |
| About Us | Who we are and what we are about. |
| Contact | How to reach the team. |
| Search icon | The little magnifying glass. Type in what you are looking for. |
| START HERE | The registration form for new guests. |
| LOG IN | Sign in to your account so you can book. |
Browsing What's On
Click WHAT'S ON in the menu. This is where every upcoming adventure lives, listed with the soonest first.
Every adventure shows a photo, the name, the date and time, and the out of pocket cost.
Just click or tap anywhere on an adventure to open its full page and read all the details.
Searching for something specific
If you already know what you are after, searching is the quickest way there.
Words worth trying
- The activity, for example bowling, cooking, photography, pickleball, karaoke
- The place, for example Cronulla, Sydney, Olympic Park
- The kind of outing, for example dinner, festival, class, gym
Sorting and filtering
At the top of any list of adventures you will see Filter and Sort by. These help you cut a long list down to just what suits you.
Filter and Sort by sit just above the photos.
Sort by
Changes the order things appear in. Handy options are price from low to high if you are working to a budget, or alphabetically if you are hunting for a name you half remember.
Filter
Narrows the list down. You can trim by price, so if you set the highest price to $25 you will only see adventures at $25 or under.
What the labels on each card mean
You will see small labels on the adventure photos. Here is what each one is telling you.
| Label | What it means |
|---|---|
| 12 SPOTS LEFT | How many places are still available. When it gets low it is worth booking soon. |
| 3 DAYS LEFT TO BOOK | Bookings are about to close. This shows in the last week before the cut off. |
| BOOKINGS CLOSED | The cut off has passed and we can no longer take bookings. The adventure still shows on the site until the day itself, so you can see what is coming up, but the booking button is gone. |
| DATES COMING SOON | We are running this one, we just have not locked in the date yet. Get in touch to register your interest. |
Reading an adventure page
Click any adventure and you will land on its own page, with everything you need to decide.
Dinner & Karaoke Night
An adventure page. The blue line under the name is always the date and time.
Booking your spot
Once you have found one you like, booking takes about a minute.
Choose
Set how many spots you need, then click ADD TO CART.
Cart
Click the cart icon at the top right to check what you have.
Check out
Enter your details and pay by card. It is secure.
Done
You get a confirmation email straight away. Your spot is locked in.
A few things worth knowing
- You can book more than one adventure at a time. Add them all to your cart and pay once at the end.
- Booking for someone else as well? Change the number before you add it to your cart.
- Your spot is not held until you have paid. Leaving something sitting in your cart does not reserve it.
- You need to be logged in. If the booking button is not doing what you expect, check you are signed in.
After you book
- A confirmation email arrives within a few minutes, with the adventure name, date and what you paid.
- Add it to your calendar. Many adventures have a calendar link on the page so the date drops straight into your phone.
- See everything you have booked any time. Click LOG IN, then Orders.
- We will be in touch before the day with meeting point details and anything you need to bring.
If you get stuck
There is never a silly question, and we would much rather hear from you than have you miss out on something you wanted to do.
| If this happens | Try this |
|---|---|
| The code did not arrive | Check your junk folder, then check you used the email address we have on file for you. |
| No booking button | Either bookings have closed for that one, or you are not logged in yet. Look for the label on the photo. |
| Cannot find an adventure | Try a shorter search word, or clear your filters and browse WHAT'S ON. |
| Payment would not go through | Give us a call and we will sort it out with you. |
